An inspiring day packed full of motivational speakers and practical advice lie at the heart of a new event being brought to farmers wishing to grow and tackle some of the most common challenges in the industry. Danusia Osiowy takes a look at why The Business of Farming conference is one not to be missed.
A new event designed by farmers - for farmers – to protect and boost grass root business across the UK is just three weeks away.
Organised by Farmers Guardian and supported by Farmcare, the Business of Farming Conference is a one-day event that brings UK farmers together to inspire, motivate and share solutions to strengthen their businesses.
The event has been researched with a wide number of farmers, from all sectors and regions, who collectively identified the burning business issues they wanted to learn more about.
Attendees can expect to be offered solutions to common farming problems, fresh ideas to boost efficiency and honest take-home advice that will be provided from a rich selection of inspirational fellow farmers and leading experts from inside and outside of the industry.
The event takes place on December 6 at Wootton Park, Warwickshire, and is split into four practical themes covering managing succession, raising finance, the art of negotiation and managing yourself.
Each session will be delivered through a balance of lively discussion and interactive workshops, with plenty of take home information to reference in the future.
Event’s producer Danusia Osiowy says: “The Business of Farming conference has been created following many conversations with farmers about what issues and challenges they are faced with and how they can go about tackling them.
“The event is aimed at individuals wanting to improve their business, safeguard their future and identify their own strengths that can help achieve success.”
Whether you are running a well-established business, working on securing your farming future or looking to set up and grow your business, this is the event for you, regardless of your farms size, scale or sector.
It remains one of the most contentious issues within the farming industry, provoking fear and frustration from all parties involved.
