The ‘skilled’ agricultural sector has been ranked the ‘best occupation’ for work-life balance during the coronavirus pandemic, a CIPD UK Working Lives survey revealed.
With Covid-19 changing the way we work and placing a greater emphasis on personal wellbeing out of hours, recruitment specialist Rayner Personnel discovered agricultural jobs, from farming to horticultural trades, scored the highest at 0.57.
Where health and wellbeing is concerned, skilled agriculture was also rated highly at a positive 0.70, alongside culture, media and sport (0.63) and administrative roles (0.62).
Josh Rayner, chief executive of Rayner Personnel, said: “We are going to see a shift in the way we work as the current pandemic plays out and it is quite likely this will remain on a long-term basis.
“Regardless of what the reason is, there are a plethora of roles available that rank highly based on different criteria.”
