A Scottish farmer has died after being struck by a bull in a field.

Farmer dies after being struck by a bull in a field  

The incident took place on Wednesday August 19 in Memsie, Aberdeenshire, and is being investigated by the Health and Safety Executive and police.

 

A HSE spokesperson said: “Livestock handling is one of the biggest causes of death and serious injury on farms.

"Carrying out tasks on unrestrained cattle or with makeshift equipment dramatically increases the risk of injury from crushing, kicking, biting or goring.”
