In the first of two new dealership appointments by McCormick, Mark Weatherhead has been appointed to cover the Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire area from the dealership’s Hardwick premises near Cambridge.
The history of the Mark Weatherhead business stretches back to 1945, when the founding company was created by Donald Weatherhead, father of current managing director Mark.
The range of McCormick tractors spanning 44 to 310hp will complement existing franchises, including Krone and Pottinger.
The second sees Turners Agricultural Engineers take on the franchise for Herefordshire and the surrounding area.
Founded in 2013 the business started with servicing and repairing a wide range of farm equipment, before expanding into sales of both new and used machinery, from its Pencombe, Bromyard premises. Since then the business has added a number of agricultural equipment franchises to its operation, including Alpego, Dieci, Garford, Malone, Spearhead and Suzuki.
To this end, the business has added a 176hp X7.460 VT-Drive tractor to its demonstration fleet, while a 113hp X5.55 and a 133hp X6.430 have been ordered for stock, covering the area’s broad range of livestock, arable and contracting businesses.
